Thai Binh starts construction of waste-to-energy plant with investment capital of 2,500 billion VND

The project is invested by Dragonventures Investment and Development Joint Stock Company in collaboration with WangNeng Environmental Joint Stock Company. According to the design, the factory is built on an area of about 6 hectares, with a minimum capacity of processing 600 tons of domestic and general solid waste per day, and generating electricity with a capacity of 15MW.

The plant applies modern waste-to-energy incineration technology, following a closed, circular treatment process, meeting domestic and international environmental standards. The project aims to reduce the amount of landfill waste, regenerate energy from waste and contribute to improving the living environment in the area.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Khac Than presented flowers to congratulate the investor.

According to the plan, the factory will be built within more than 2 years and is expected to be completed and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2026. When put into operation, the project will contribute to reducing pressure on existing landfills in Thai Thuy district and neighboring areas, while contributing to the local power grid with clean energy.

In addition to environmental and energy efficiency, the project also creates many socio -economic benefits for the region, including creating jobs for hundreds of local workers and expanding cooperation opportunities in the fields of environment, energy and technology.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Thang, representative of the project investor, spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan highly appreciated the necessity and importance of the project for the sustainable development of the province. The investment preparation process has received consensus and high support from local people and authorities at all levels, thereby creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented as planned.

Delegates perform the project groundbreaking ceremony

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor and related units to focus resources, carry out construction on schedule, ensure quality and fully comply with regulations on labor safety and environmental sanitation. At the same time, he emphasized the requirement not to let the construction process affect the lives, production and activities of people in the area.

Machinery and equipment are ready to start a large project on modern waste treatment technology.

The investor representative pledged to mobilize maximum financial, human, equipment and technological resources, implement construction on schedule and ensure safety and quality of the project. The investor also affirmed that it will closely coordinate with local authorities, construction units and management agencies to promptly handle arising issues, ensuring the project is completed on time and effectively.

The modern technology solid waste incineration power generation plant project in Thai Binh will be a typical model in waste treatment combined with power generation in the Northern region, contributing to promoting the transition to more modern and sustainable forms of waste treatment.
