From May 1, international visitors arriving in Thailand by air, land, and sea will be required to make an online declaration via the Digital Arrivals Control System (TDAC) within three days of arrival. The TDAC is similar to the paper form previously used, except that visitors can do it online.
This is a new policy recently issued by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to help make the immigration process faster, easier and safer. Therefore, visitors are required to fill out this form if they want to enter the Land of Golden Pagodas.
With the new regulation, declarants can log directly into the website tdac.immigration.go.th or scan the QR code on the website and then fill in the necessary information: full name, nationality, phone number, email address, passport number as well as travel itinerary including flight number, hotel address or accommodation in Thailand.
After completing the procedure, the visitor's authentication information will be sent to his/her personal email and the visitor needs to present this card at the Thai immigration counter.

Previously, on March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in central Myanmar, causing tremors in many areas of Thailand, especially Bangkok. The Thai government immediately declared “Bangkok a disaster zone.”
On March 29, the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs updated the situation of activities across the country after the earthquake to reassure tourists. Accordingly, tourism activities have returned to normal, transportation continues or has been restored. The Thai Meteorological Department reported that although there were many aftershocks after the earthquake, they were smaller in scale and did not cause further damage to areas across the country.
In response to the situation updates from Thailand, most Vietnamese tourists are cautious but remain calm and not overly stressed. Vietnamese tourist groups that have just returned from Thailand are also safe.
For groups that will continue to choose to visit Bangkok in the near future, travel agencies said they will change their schedules, avoiding locations that are still experiencing aftershocks or incidents due to the recent earthquake to ensure the safety of tourists.
Notably, the rate of tourists requesting early check-out has increased by 8-10% across Thailand after the earthquake, mainly in major tourist destinations such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Ayutthaya. Some tourists have also switched to Pattaya and Phuket instead of Bangkok. Revenue from hotels and tourism in Thailand is expected to decrease by at least 10-15%./.

According to statistics from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Thailand in 2024 will reach more than one million out of a total of 5.4 million departures for the year. Thailand is always on the list of international destinations most loved by Vietnamese visitors.
