Thai Nguyen launched a peak emulation campaign to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

On the afternoon of July 18, the Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province organized a program to launch a peak emulation campaign to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households in 37 communes in the northern region of the province, with the goal of striving to complete before August 31, 2025.

Attending the program were comrades: Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Vu Duy Hoang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of political and social organizations in the province.

Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, spoke at the launching program.

Currently, the whole province still has 4,979 households living in temporary, dilapidated houses, concentrated in 37 communes and wards in the Northern region (formerly Bac Kan province). Of these, 4,176 households need to rebuild and 803 households need to repair.

As of July 8, 2025, 4,170 households have started and completed construction, reaching 83.8% (including 2,174 households that have completed construction, 1,996 households under construction). However, there are still 601 households facing difficulties and unable to start construction due to problems with land procedures, customs, obstacles due to terrain, lack of counterpart funds, etc.

Faced with this situation, Thai Nguyen province launched a peak emulation campaign "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, business community and people.

Speaking at the Program, Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen emphasized: This is an urgent task, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and humanity of the whole society towards the poor and those with meritorious services, contributing to ensuring social security and strengthening the great solidarity of the people.

He requested that cadres, civil servants, and employees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilize union members, association members, and people to participate in contributing in the spirit of "whoever has something to help"; closely coordinate with local authorities in the work of reviewing, supporting, and monitoring to ensure the right subjects, transparency, and effectiveness.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee guides the implementation and assigns tasks to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.

Based on Official Dispatch No. 54/MTTQ-BTT dated July 16, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has specifically assigned departments and offices to monitor, inspect, supervise and support 37 communes and wards in the Northern region. The Propaganda and Social Work Department of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has also provided guidance on implementation content and assigned specific tasks to each unit.

The emulation campaign not only helps people have safe and stable homes but also spreads the spirit of mutual love and affection, promotes the strength of national solidarity; aims to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, for a prosperous and happy life for the people, for a sustainable and prosperous Thai Nguyen.
