According to the report, Thai Nguyen currently has 3 local press agencies (including: Thai Nguyen Newspaper, Provincial Radio - Television Station, Thai Nguyen Literature and Arts Magazine) and 9 central press agencies and industry newspapers with representative offices in the province.

In recent times, the province has thoroughly grasped and directed departments, branches, localities and agencies and units in the province to strictly and correctly implement regulations on speaking and providing information to the press. Thereby creating favorable conditions for press agencies in the process of working, providing information that reflects fully, objectively, and accurately the nature of the incident, contributing to promoting the socio -economic development of the province.

The working delegation of the Ministry of Information and Communications led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam worked with the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province.

Accordingly, in addition to organizing monthly press conferences, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee also regularly speak and provide information to the press on contents related to sectors and fields when requested by press agencies to provide information, with many forms of information provision such as: Working directly, answering interviews, providing information in writing, via phone, email, etc.

In addition, all State administrative agencies in the province have assigned spokespersons and provided information to the press (as heads of State administrative agencies). From 2021 to present, State administrative agencies in the province have held 20 press conferences to provide information to the press. Thereby, creating opportunities for the press and the public to have more complete access to official, reliable, and accurate sources of information...

At the meeting, leaders of the provincial press agencies also shared and discussed the difficulties and problems that reporters face when contacting spokespeople of state administrative agencies in the province. Accordingly, there are still some agencies, units and localities that have not seriously implemented regulations on speaking and providing information to the press, and are "afraid" to contact reporters...

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam acknowledged and highly appreciated the implementation of legal regulations on speaking and providing information to the press in Thai Nguyen province. Emphasizing the role of the press in the era of information explosion and social network development as it is today, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam requested the province to continue to seriously implement the provision of information to the press, promptly respond to pressing issues that the press reflects related to the province.

For agencies, units and localities in the province, it is necessary to consider the mainstream press as a partner, proactively providing information to avoid providing information that is not objective and one-sided...
