(kontumtv.vn) – With the aim of visiting, exchanging, learning experiences, and strengthening cooperation between the Kon Tum Provincial People's Council and the People's Councils of some localities of the Lao People's Democratic Republic , on the morning of July 16, a delegation of senior officials of the Kon Tum Provincial People's Council Standing Committee led by Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, Provincial People's Council Chairman Duong Van Trang worked with the Attapeu Provincial People's Council. Receiving the delegation was Ms. My-Na-Phon Xay-Som-Phu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Attapeu Provincial People's Council .

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Duong Van Trang informed about the socio-economic development situation of Kon Tum province such as the total product in the area in the first 6 months of 2024 is estimated at 8,165 billion VND; the growth rate increased by 6.47% over the same period last year, ranked 30/63 provinces and cities and the highest in the Central Highlands region; estimated budget revenue is 1,789 billion VND; political security and social order and safety are ensured; at the same time, informed about some strengths and investment potential in Kon Tum province. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Duong Van Trang hopes that through the information and exchange at this meeting, the People's Councils of the two provinces will become increasingly close and understand each other's work better; The Standing Committee of the People's Council and the agencies of the People's Councils of each side shared many useful experiences, helping the activities of the People's Councils of each side to become increasingly high-quality, practical, and effective, better meeting the trust and expectations of voters and people of the two provinces.

At the meeting, delegates of the People's Councils of Kon Tum and Attapeu provinces informed about the organization and operation of the People's Councils of the two provinces.
