After implementing Resolution No. 98/NQ-HDND on youth development in Long An province for the period of 2021 - 2030, up to now, 11/18 targets have been achieved. For 28 tasks, programs and projects, 17/28 tasks have been implemented, of which 7 tasks have been implemented regularly every year and have been effective. Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Mai Van Nhieu delivered a concluding speech at the conference.

During the period of 2021 - 2023, vocational training institutions in the province have recruited and trained 59,686 young people, contributing to increasing the number of trained workers in the province from 72.10% in 2021 to 74.74% in 2023; the number of unemployed workers in the province in 2023 decreased to 1.98%; Trained workers in the youth force in the province accounted for more than 50%, contributing to creating a high-quality labor source in the province.

However, the implementation of Resolution No. 98/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council from the provincial to district levels is not comprehensive and synchronous. State management of youth work still has many shortcomings, the organization of the state management apparatus for youth work and the inter-sectoral coordination mechanism for implementing youth work are not clear and strong enough; the work of advising and proposing the development of programs and plans for youth work is still confusing and untimely; the role of the Youth Union in giving critical opinions on related policies or participating in the process of monitoring policy implementation is still limited; facilities and cultural institutions for youth in the province have not met the requirements;...

The conference listened to the opinions and consultations on youth development policies and mechanisms from the leaders of provincial departments and branches. Youth representatives also had many opinions and recommendations on building more policies to support youth in participating in scientific research; forming more research support funds; organizing more competitions and awards for technological innovation; in the fields of entertainment, recreation, culture; vocational training; digital transformation; etc.

Receiving and explaining opinions and statements at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son agreed with the proposals of the departments and branches; at the same time, assigned the departments and branches according to their assigned functions and tasks on the basis of reviewing the annual results of the targets and objectives to advise and propose specific solutions based on the groups of solutions stated in Resolution No. 98/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council and Decision No. 467/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee.
