At the press conference, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong said that regarding personnel work, according to the Resolution of the Central Committee, at the 8th Session taking place in October 2024, the National Assembly will complete the position of President.

Regarding the positions of Minister of Finance and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son will continue to hold concurrent positions until the National Assembly approves the Prime Minister's appointment proposal.

Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai said that according to the plan of the Central Executive Committee, from now until the end of 2024, the focus will be on perfecting the positions of senior leaders and Party committees and authorities at all levels to strengthen the Party's leadership role in the tasks of socio -economic development, culture, national defense - security, and foreign affairs; preparing for Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The personnel consolidation ensures that the political system is more complete, more united, more harmonious, stronger, operates more effectively and efficiently, and creates more favorable and better conditions for the task of socio-economic development, improving people's lives; strengthens attachment to the people, and consolidates people's trust in the Party and the State.

Current personnel work is arranged "up, down, in, out" according to task requirements, work needs and the ability to complete tasks of each specific individual.
