Of which, exports are estimated at 31.41 billion USD, down 4.1%, equivalent to a decrease of 1.36 billion USD, and imports are estimated at 29.12 billion USD, down 0.7%, equivalent to a decrease of 205 million USD.
In the first 9 months of 2023, the total value of imported and exported goods of the whole country is estimated at 497.66 billion USD, down 11%, equivalent to a decrease of 61.41 billion USD compared to the same period last year. Of which, exports are estimated at 259.67 billion USD, down 8.2% (equivalent to a decrease of 23.32 billion USD) and imports are estimated at 237.99 billion USD, down 13.8% (equivalent to a decrease of 38.09 billion USD).

State budget revenue from import-export activities in the third quarter of 2023 (from July 1 to September 30) reached VND 83,695 billion, down 9.7% compared to the second quarter of 2023 and down 18.4% compared to the third quarter of 2022. Accumulated from January 1 to September 30, state budget revenue reached VND 268,690 billion, equal to 63.2% of the assigned estimate, down 18.6% over the same period last year.
In the third quarter of 2023, the entire Customs sector detected, arrested and handled: 4,835 cases of violations of Customs laws. The estimated value of violating goods is 2,350 billion VND. The Customs agency has prosecuted 8 cases and transferred 26 cases to other agencies for prosecution. The amount collected to the state budget: 70 billion VND. Accumulated in the first 9 months of 2023 (from December 16, 2022 to September 15, 2023), the entire Customs sector has detected, arrested and handled: 12,903 cases of violations of Customs laws. The estimated value of violating goods is 5,025 billion VND. The Customs agency has prosecuted 26 cases and transferred 85 cases to other agencies for prosecution. The amount collected to the state budget: 384.7 billion VND.
In the fight against drugs, in the third quarter of 2023, the Customs sector has presided over and coordinated with the Police and Border Guard forces to detect and arrest: 60 cases/69 subjects, of which the Customs agency presided over 20 cases. The seized evidence is more than 200kg of various drugs, including: 1kg of opium, 21kg of heroin; 2kg of cocaine; 81kg of ketamine; 91kg of synthetic drugs,... Accumulated in the first 9 months of 2023 (from December 16, 2022 to September 15, 2023), the Customs sector has presided over and coordinated with the Police and Border Guard forces to detect and arrest: 200 cases/217 subjects, of which the Customs agency presided over 90 cases. The seized evidence is about 1.4 tons of various drugs, including: 2,351g of opium; 71.3kg of marijuana; 91.58 kg of heroin; 323.39 kg of cocaine; 221.74 kg and 14,552 ketamine pills; 626.178 kg and 3,224 synthetic drug pills; 7.4 kg and 1,030 other drug pills; 96.36 grams of American grass and 300 bags of happy water.
