This afternoon (August 12), the 2024 National U21 Final took place between U21 HAGL and U21 PVF. As predicted by experts, in the championship match, the two teams played very cautiously, causing difficulties for each other.
During the 90 minutes of competition, neither team was able to score a goal against the other. Therefore, U21 HAGL and U21 PVF had to enter a penalty shootout to determine the winner.
In the 2024 National U21 Tournament, U21 HAGL won twice by penalty shootouts, against U21 Hanoi and U21 Quang Nam in the quarterfinals and semi-finals. Therefore, the team from the mountain town has more experience and courage.
In the penalty shootout, goalkeeper Trung Kien of U21 HAGL played excellently when he blocked a shot from U21 PVF and made an opponent player mentally kick the ball into the post. Meanwhile, U21 HAGL successfully executed 4 shots to win 4-2, thereby winning the 2024 National U21 Championship.
