After nearly a decade of release, the manga Kimetsu no Yaiba (Vietnamese title: Demon Slayer) by author Koyoharu Gotouge officially surpassed 220 million printed and digital copies worldwide , according to an announcement from Shueisha Publishing House on July 17.
Of these, 164 million copies were sold in Japan and the remaining 56 million copies came from the international market - a remarkable achievement for a series that lasted only 23 volumes and ended nearly 5 years ago.

Even so, Demon Slayer still only ranks 7th in the list of best-selling manga in history. The top positions still belong to monuments such as One Piece, Doraemon, Golgo 13 , Detective Conan and Dragon Ball .

In just two years, the number of copies printed for the manga has increased by more than 43 times compared to before the anime aired. Not only is it a success in the manga segment, Demon Slayer also achieved many records with the anime film version.
Demon Slayer : Mugen Train, released in 2020, has become the highest-grossing anime of all time at the Japanese box office, surpassing the 40 billion yen mark.
Following that success, the trilogy of movies in the Infinite Castle arc is expected to end the anime series in a grand way.

Meanwhile, the remaining two parts of Infinite Castle are in the process of being completed, and will be the final chapters of the five-year long anime series.
