The conference was attended by many domestic and Taiwanese (China) tourism businesses.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Thi, Permanent Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this locality is a land rich in potential for tourism development, with rich and diverse natural resources; a unique system of tangible and intangible cultural heritages, imbued with national identity.

According to Mr. Thi, in recent years, Thanh Hoa has always been among the leading localities in the country in terms of the number of tourists. Typically, in 2023, the province welcomed nearly 12.5 million visitors, ranking 4th in the country; in 2024, this number reached more than 15.3 million visitors, ranking 5th in the country.
However, the number of international visitors is still quite modest, accounting for only 4.2-4.7% of the total number of visitors to Thanh Hoa every year. Welcoming the Taiwanese delegation to survey and evaluate services and products this time is expected to contribute to attracting more tourists from the Taiwanese market in particular and international markets in general.
Mr. Thi also affirmed that Thanh Hoa province is committed to creating all favorable conditions for Taiwanese businesses to access the market, survey products, and explore investment opportunities to develop high-quality tourism services.

At the same time, he expressed his wish to continue receiving support and connections from diplomatic agencies, trade agencies, tourism associations and business communities on both sides.
He requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies and units to urgently develop a specific action plan; maintain close ties with Taiwanese tourism businesses to promote effective cooperation, and gradually expand the international tourist market to Thanh Hoa.
At the seminar, representatives of Thanh Hoa province introduced the potential, advantages and current key product lines such as sea tourism, community ecotourism and cultural tourism.
In addition, representatives of some tourism businesses in Thanh Hoa also presented special tours connecting typical destinations such as Sam Son coastal urban tourism area, Ben En National Park, Pu Luong community eco-tourism area, Lam Kinh special national historical site, Ho Dynasty Citadel World Cultural Heritage... in the journey to explore Thanh land.
Many Taiwanese tourism businesses expressed their impression of Thanh Hoa’s natural beauty and cultural depth. They also offered suggestions for cooperation such as sharing tourist resources, organizing survey programs, joint promotion, and digital support in destination communication.

In particular, some Taiwanese travel businesses are interested in building travel packages that combine heritage exploration, local cultural experiences and high-end resorts, focusing on green tourism and experiential tourism models, trends that are popular with Taiwanese tourists.
According to businesses, with its favorable geographical location, relatively synchronous transportation system and diverse tourism products, Thanh Hoa has the potential to become an attractive destination for Taiwanese tourists in the near future.
At the conference, representatives of Thanh Hoa tourism businesses and Taiwanese tourism businesses also signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
