Establish 11 commune-level trade unions under the Provincial Labor Federation

On the morning of July 30, the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to announce the decision to establish commune and ward trade unions under the Provincial Federation of Labor. Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Huynh Ut Muoi; Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Huynh Hoang Anh attended the conference.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation announced the decision to establish the union; appointed the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and Inspection Committee of 11 commune and ward unions, including: Bac Lieu , Gia Rai, Tan Thanh, An Xuyen, Ly Van Lam, Vinh Loi, Phuoc Long, Cai Nuoc, Nam Can, Thoi Binh and Tran Van Thoi.

Chairman of Vinh Loi Commune Trade Union Tran Ha Bao Khuyen, on behalf of 11 established commune and ward trade unions, delivered a speech accepting the assignment.

On behalf of 11 established commune and ward trade unions, Chairman of Vinh Loi Commune Trade Union Tran Ha Bao Khuyen expressed his joy and honor to be entrusted with this important responsibility by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Provincial Federation of Labor. Thereby, he committed to building a united, democratic, and responsible Executive Committee, maintaining close ties with union members and workers; performing well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; proactively coordinating with the Party Committees and authorities of communes and wards to promote the role of trade union organizations in participating in building a clean and strong Party and government; actively participating in patriotic emulation movements and social activities, contributing to the socio -economic development of the locality.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Huynh Ut Muoi affirmed: The establishment of commune and ward trade unions demonstrates the interest of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Standing Committee and local Party committees and authorities in coordination work; is the result of the high consensus and unity of the staff, civil servants and workers at the grassroots level. This is not only a practical requirement but also a solution to improve the effectiveness of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers in the political system.

Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Huynh Ut Muoi requested the newly established Executive Boards of Commune and Ward Trade Unions to quickly stabilize the organization, approach grassroots trade unions and union members and workers; develop appropriate and practical action programs; proactively coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and grassroots organizations to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers; promote the representative role, accompany cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in performing political tasks in the locality.
