On August 25, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, the National Innovation Center (NIC, Ministry of Finance ) held a ceremony to announce the establishment of three innovation and expert networks in strategic technology fields: quantum (VNQuantum), cybersecurity (ViSecurity), and aerospace and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV Vietnam).
These three networks belong to the Vietnam Innovation Network, sponsored by NIC since 2018, aiming to attract and employ talents, receive international technological quintessence and promote the intelligence of Vietnamese experts and intellectuals abroad.
To date, NIC has sponsored the establishment of 10 Vietnamese innovation and expert networks in 22 countries and territories with more than 2,000 members, including experts, general engineers, and chief architects in many important industries.
In addition, NIC has also established five innovation networks and strategic technology experts to coordinate with universities, research institutes and international enterprises to solve major problems of the country.
According to Deputy Minister of Finance Do Thanh Trung, the launch of these three specialized networks has contributed to perfecting the global Vietnamese intellectual ecosystem, forming a strong innovation community in strategic technology, becoming a core force to help the country catch up, progress together and advance in a number of key areas.

At the announcement ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that developing strategic technology industries is no longer a choice but a development imperative. This will be the foundation to help Vietnam overcome the middle-income trap and move towards the group of high-income countries in the coming years.
He asked the NIC, through the quantum network, to promote research, development and application of quantum technology in areas such as high-performance computing, secure communications and precision sensing.
With the cybersecurity network, it is necessary to build proactive defense capabilities, support Vietnam in developing "Make by Vietnam" solutions and products on cybersecurity, protect national digital sovereignty , and at the same time ensure a safe and reliable cyberspace.
At the same time, with the aerospace and drone network, it is necessary to focus on connecting experts, supporting research and development of space technology, applying UAVs in defense, security, agriculture, logistics, environmental monitoring and urban management, thereby opening up new development space for the country.
