Establishment of Steering Committee to handle difficulties in site clearance

On July 16, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to establish a Steering Committee to handle difficulties in site clearance for key and dynamic projects in the province.

The Steering Committee is headed by Mr. Tran Quoc Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation. The following are: Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as Deputy Heads, directly in charge of projects in assigned fields.

The Steering Committee assists the Provincial People's Committee in directing, managing, and resolving issues related to difficulties and obstacles in compensation and site clearance for key and dynamic projects in the province. At the same time, it studies, recommends, and proposes to the Provincial People's Committee directions and solutions for directing and managing related issues, prioritizing timely resolution of difficulties and obstacles in compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance when the State acquires land; providing investment support to accelerate the implementation of key and dynamic projects in the province. For projects invested by the Central Government in the province, the Steering Committee closely coordinates with the investment decision-making agency, investor, design consultant, and supervision consultant to ensure progress.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment is the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee, responsible for monitoring, synthesizing and reporting, promptly and comprehensively advising on the work contents of the Steering Committee; acting as the focal point for synthesizing and advising on resolving issues within its authority or advising and proposing to the Steering Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to resolve issues beyond its authority arising during the implementation process; advising the Steering Committee to establish a Steering Committee Support Team to effectively and promptly implement tasks.
