'City without bushmeat' sends message to protect wildlife

On April 13, in Dong Hoi City, the Forest Management Board for Sustainable Forestry and Biodiversity Conservation (VFBC) of Quang Binh province coordinated with relevant units to organize a ceremony to launch a communication campaign in response to World Wildlife Day and the National Biodiversity Restoration Year 2024.

The program has the message "Humans come in pairs - wild animals come in pairs", "Do not eat wild animals - contribute to life" to propagate and raise public awareness about the conservation of wild animals and plants in general and reduce the demand for consumption of wild animal products in particular.

"Quang Binh province has actively directed all levels and sectors to strengthen measures to conserve biodiversity and protect wild flora and fauna. The locality has also disseminated and raised awareness among people about the view that biodiversity is an important natural capital, a foundation contributing to ensuring sustainable development in the direction of a green economy and proactively adapting to climate change," said Mr. Tan.

At the end of the ceremony, delegates participated in a parade in response to World Wildlife Day and the National Biodiversity Restoration Year 2024.
