Vinh Yen City deploys tasks for the 2024 - 2025 school year

On the afternoon of August 28, Vinh Yen City People's Committee held a conference to summarize the 2023-2024 school year and deploy tasks for the 2024-2025 school year. Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Viet Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary in charge of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Vinh Yen City People's Committee; representatives of the Department of Education and Training.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the Vinh Yen City Department of Education and Training has many indicators leading the province. The implementation of the new 2018 General Education Program has achieved positive results. Universal education and comprehensive education quality at all levels continue to be improved. The results of the entrance exam for non-specialized high schools ranked first in the province, in which many schools improved their rankings and the order of deviation between study scores and exam scores decreased.

The entrance exam results for grade 10 at Vinh Phuc Specialized High School ranked first in the province in terms of the number and percentage of students passing the exam with 95 students, accounting for more than 37% of the total number of students passing the exam at Vinh Phuc Specialized High School; there were 4 valedictorians and 3 salutatorians in specialized classes. In particular, the locality is a leader in teaching and learning English and Information Technology.

The quality of key education continues to be improved; in which, primary school students actively participate and win more than 86 provincial prizes, 74 national prizes in intellectual, cultural, physical education and sports competitions at all levels; secondary school students rank first in the province in terms of the percentage of students winning prizes and the number of first prizes in the 9th grade excellent student competition.

Other fields such as culture - arts, physical education - sports also achieved many outstanding achievements, notably leading the province in the number of medals at the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival, Phase I, 2024; winning second prize in the national Traffic Safety for Tomorrow's Smiles competition...

In the 2024-2025 school year, the Education and Training sector of Vinh Yen city continues to implement the goals according to the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, the Resolution of the 3rd District Party Congress; implement the school year theme "Discipline, responsibility, continuous innovation, quality improvement" and 10 key tasks of the Education and Training sector.

In particular, continuing to perfect institutions, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of State management of education; ensuring fairness in access to education; improving the quality of education at all levels; developing a team of teachers to ensure quantity and quality; effectively using the State budget and mobilizing investment resources for education; strengthening political and ideological education, national defense and security, physical education, school health; promoting digital transformation, reforming administrative procedures in the whole sector; effectively implementing emulation movements in the whole sector...

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Vinh Yen City People's Committee Nguyen Viet Phuong and Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Dang Cong Hoa acknowledged and commended the achievements of the city's education sector in the past school year.

Chairman of Vinh Yen City People's Committee Nguyen Viet Phuong requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, and social organizations in the city to well implement the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and resolutions on education development, continue to carry out the cause of educational innovation; promptly pay attention to researching and proposing programs and contents to support teachers; pay attention to investing in facilities for schools; better implement the policy of socializing education, exploiting all resources of the whole society to create a comprehensive strength for educational development; at the same time, link school activities with social activities, resolutely fight against negative manifestations in the field of education....

Every teacher must pay attention to cultivating teachers' ethics, regularly improving their expertise and skills; respecting diversity, and maximizing the strengths and talents of each student.

Parents continue to accompany teachers, closely coordinate with schools to manage and educate students to become good children, good students, good citizens of society; at the same time listen and share positively so that the city's education sector can develop more and more.
