The 3-0 victory (25-15, 25-17, 25-14) in the final helped the Vietnamese women's volleyball team win the AVC Nations Cup (formerly the AVC Challenger Cup) for the third consecutive time.
This championship also brought a ticket to the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.
After the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won all the matches in this year's tournament, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared: "Before the tournament, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team felt a bit of pressure when competing with the goal of winning the championship on home ground.

Not only the main squad but also the reserve players played well. We determined that this is just a tournament to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games. The team also changed the athletes to suit the tournaments to find the 14 best athletes by the end of the year.
The most important thing is the cohesion of the players. When they are united, the blocking and attacking ability of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will be good. However, we still have some things to improve such as defense and first pass receiving."
