The Bui Hui grassland boasts endless stretches of lush green grass, making it an ideal location for camping, cloud watching, and enjoying both sunsets and sunrises.

Located at an altitude of approximately 628 meters above sea level, Bui Hui grassland in Ba Trang commune, Ba To district, is one of the most beautiful grasslands in Quang Ngai province . Besides the vast green meadows, the grassland also features a 20-hectare hill of myrtle bushes, decades-old guava trees, and endless mountain ranges stretching as far as the eye can see, according to the Quang Ngai Provincial Youth Union website.

The entire area is a vast expanse of grassy hills devoid of trees. At the edge of the steppe are a few thickets of shrubs, only slightly taller than a person's head. Below the grassy hills are the terraced rice fields of the Hrê people.

During their 45-day road trip across the country from August 16th to October 9th, the family of Nguyen Ngoc Minh, 28 years old, from Soc Trang , spent a night camping in tents in the Bui Hui grassland.

From the center of Quang Ngai City, Mr. Minh drove his pickup truck for about 60 km to Ba To District. Then he traveled another 10 km along mountain roads to reach Bui Hui grassland.
Although the road has been paved with concrete, it is a mountainous road with many curves and bends, so tourists should pay attention. The road into the grassland is a dirt road but flat, suitable for motorcycles, low-clearance cars, and high-clearance cars.

Arriving in Bui Hui in early autumn, the hills are covered in lush green grass, interspersed with verdant hills and villages nestled in the valleys. "A few clouds floating halfway down give the feeling of standing on clouds," Minh said.

With its beautiful natural scenery and cool, fresh climate, Bui Hui grassland is a favorite destination for many tourists. Located at a high altitude, it has also become a popular spot for young backpackers to watch clouds, camp, and enjoy sunsets and sunrises.
On days with favorable weather, the sky is clear and blue, and fluffy white clouds appear halfway up the distant mountain ranges. "Not as majestic as Ta Xua, Ha Giang , the sea of clouds in Bui Hui grassland has a more dreamy and gentle beauty," Minh commented.

The Bui Hui grassland is still relatively undeveloped and lacks many tourist activities and services, preserving its pristine natural beauty. If you wish to camp and stay overnight, you can prepare your own equipment or rent tents and book rooms at various accommodations in the area.
People should choose camping spots and bonfires that don't affect the landscape and remember to clean up thoroughly before leaving. Visitors can combine their trip with exploring the culture and cuisine of the Hrê ethnic community living in Ba Tơ district, such as the gong performance art, which has been recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, and enjoying dishes like braised goby fish with pepper, grilled pork skewers, fish cake noodle soup, snails, crushed rice paper, and Tịnh Khê pancakes, Minh suggested.

Each season, the Bui Hui grassland boasts its own unique beauty. In the third lunar month, decades-old guava trees ripen, their fruits the size of a thumb, attracting birds to feed. Around May and June, thousands of sim flowers bloom in vibrant purple, covering an area of over 20 hectares. This is considered the most beautiful and romantic time of year in the Bui Hui grassland.
