MB Ageas Life Insurance Company Limited has just paid insurance benefits of VND240 million to the family of Colonel Chu Quang Minh - the pilot who died in the Bell 505 helicopter crash in Ha Long Bay.
It is known that this insurance payment was made according to the life insurance contract at MB Ageas Life Insurance Company Limited, which Colonel Chu Quang Minh participated in since December 2018. After receiving information about the incident, the insurance company sent staff to express condolences and guide the colonel's family to provide documents to complete the insurance payment procedures according to the contract.
Previously, PVI Insurance paid an advance compensation of 50,000 USD (equivalent to 1.18 billion VND) to the family of the pilot of the Bell 505 helicopter. The remaining amount (150,000 USD) will be paid by the insurance company as soon as the relevant procedures are completed according to the insurance policy.

On the afternoon of April 5, Bell-505 aircraft with registration number VN-8650 of the Northern Helicopter Company under the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (Army Corps 18) had an accident while performing a sightseeing flight in Ha Long Bay.
The plane, piloted by Colonel Chu Quang Minh, carried four tourists from Da Nang . The plane took off at 4:56 p.m. and lost contact with the command center at 5:15 p.m.
In addition, up to now, 2 victims who were passengers on the flight have also received insurance compensation of 200 million VND/person.
