More businesses want to import high-quality rice from Vietnam

ANTD.VN - Lien Hoa Enterprise (Taiwan, China) wants to import round grain rice (japonica) from Vietnam to export to the Middle East.

Vietnam's round grain rice has more export opportunities

According to the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei (China), Lien Hoa is a professional Taiwanese food manufacturer with 30 years of experience. Lien Hoa is currently looking for a partner to supply round grain rice (japonica) from Vietnam for export to the Middle East.

The total amount of rice purchased is expected to be about 200 tons and will be packaged in 1kg/bag for direct sale to supermarkets. Packaging and design will be provided by Lien Hoa.

Japonica rice is a type of rice with round and short grains, clear white color with high nutritional content, when cooked the rice grains will be soft and fragrant. This rice belongs to the high-class rice line, has high stickiness so it is suitable for many users, especially those with asthma, intestinal and cardiovascular diseases.

This is also a high-end product line, belonging to the group of strengths of Vietnam. Therefore, although India - the world's largest rice exporter - increased exports of rice, causing world prices to decrease, Vietnam's high-quality rice was not affected too much, because most of Vietnam's exported rice is of the high-end variety.

Previously, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien issued a Directive requiring close monitoring of the rice market. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to closely monitor developments in the domestic and international rice market, promptly adjust policies and proactively work with major trade partners to expand export markets, ensuring sustainable output for Vietnamese rice products.
