Another new record was set in Hau Giang

On December 13, the Vietnam Record Organization awarded a certificate of record for "The event of processing and performing the most rice and sticky rice cakes in Vietnam" to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hau Giang province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly, Deputy Director of Hau Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that this event of processing and performing cakes from rice and sticky rice had the participation of 40 professional chefs from 3 regions of the country. The chefs made more than 200 different types of cakes from rice and sticky rice.

"This is an opportunity for us to introduce to visitors from near and far the land and people of Hau Giang. In particular, Hau Giang rice is the source of ingredients for us to make more than 200 types of delicious cakes in this event" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly said.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Hien Minh (living in Ho Chi Minh City), this culinary event is very well-organized, the cakes are very delicious. When coming here, people can enjoy cakes made from rice and sticky rice with many colors and delicious flavors. This is truly a very special event of Hau Giang, helping many people know that our rice and sticky rice can make many different types of cakes.

"In addition to the special cakes of the Mekong Delta such as banh tet, banh xeo..., we also make some typical cakes of the North and Central regions to promote to diners that Vietnamese rice and sticky rice can make many delicious dishes" - Mr. Nguyen Loc, Chairman of the Association of Professional Chefs of the Mekong Delta, emphasized.

Vietnam Record Organization awarded the certificate of record "The event of processing and performing the most rice and sticky rice cakes in Vietnam" to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hau Giang province.

Previously, the record for the longest exhibition space for the rice road with the theme "The thousand-year journey of Vietnamese rice" and the record for the most model of Vietnam map made from specialty rice varieties of the provinces were also awarded to Hau Giang.
