Quang Anh once surpassed Phuong My Chi, Erik, Tlinh... to win the championship of the first season of The Voice Kids, but the musical path of the Thanh Hoa-born singer was much more difficult than that of his former opponents. While they now have a certain position in Vietnamese showbiz, Quang Anh is once again in the starting position, participating in the program Rap Viet 2023.

10 years of ups and downs with the title of Champion

In 2013, Quang Anh suddenly became a potential contestant on the show The Voice Kids . The powerful and attractive voice of this smart boy with a bright smile has conquered many people.

In terms of talent, stage presence and “backstage” stories, Quang Anh truly deserves the title of champion of the show. With this title, the boy is expected to become a new factor in Vietnamese showbiz.

Talking about the time from a "barefoot" boy to a child star, Quang Anh admitted that he had to face a crisis. "Honestly, after finishing the "Voice Kids" competition, I felt a bit regretful. I had to wear a mask everywhere I went, be careful, and be reminded a lot by adults. I couldn't be a real child, but had to learn how to be an adult from a young age," Quang Anh confided.

After getting used to his halo, Quang Anh also continuously performed shows, helping his family develop the economy. However, not long after that, Quang Anh "moved to the South". Under the advice of coaches Ho Hoai Anh and Luu Huong Giang, the champion decided to temporarily retreat behind the scenes and return to Hanoi to focus on studying and improving his music at the National Academy of Music.

This is considered a stepping stone for Quang Anh to prepare for his career as a professional singer. However, stepping back also means that the halo of the title of champion of The Voice Kids 2013 is gradually fading.

The male singer frankly affirmed that he had no regrets about "taking a step back" at that time: "Anyone will be submerged on social networks if they don't appear regularly and don't have a solid foundation.

I am very afraid that I am an artist who only knows how to sing and has no knowledge of music. At least when doing art, we should know more or less, but we must understand the basics. I want to build a solid foundation first, only then will it be sustainable later.

Quang Anh appeared with a strange appearance and new music products in 2018.

After a period of strengthening his musical knowledge, Quang Anh reappeared in 2018. At this time, the male singer had a rather different appearance and a much more "cool" fashion style. He also changed his stage name to Quang Anh Rhyder.

The male singer is not afraid to admit that he has had plastic surgery to be more confident with his appearance. Regarding his musical direction, Quang Anh said that he pursues Pop Ballad Hiphop and R&B music. The male singer also frankly said that he is influenced by the fashion of two famous male singers, Justin Bieber and G-Dragon.

However, Quang Anh's song "Anh quen voi co lon" did not really leave a strong impression on the audience. After that, he continued to release a music product called "Yeu thuong phat mau" . By 2022, the female singer founded an entertainment company named after herself - PMC Entertainment and held the position of CEO. Some other examples such as Tlinh or Erik, although they did not win high positions after the competition, have become names known to the audience with many hits. In June 2022, Quang Anh participated in the show Let's Sing as a contestant. He successfully passed many rounds but did not win the final prize of the show.

“I used to fall down, want to give up and be disappointed in myself a lot. Just recently, I was faced with two choices, either return to the North to be a normal person, or stay in Ho Chi Minh City to pursue music, throwing myself into my passion even though I didn’t know when it would work out.”

Quang Anh accepted to participate in singing competitions to regain his glory.

He said that during his time in hiding, he and his family encountered an incident and lost all the money they had saved after winning The Voice Kids. However, the male singer did not lose his passion for music.

In 2022, Quang Anh also participated in Rap Viet season 2 but was eliminated quite early: “I participated in "Rap Viet" season 2 but was eliminated from the first round. At that time, I was also subjective, receiving the casting information when there were only 3-4 days left, so I wrote the lyrics quite hastily.”

Quang Anh is youthful and stylish with a new look.

In 2023, Quang Anh will register again for Rap Viet. This time, the Thanh Hoa singer will probably face much more difficulties. The audience has more or less known the male singer and will have higher requirements than the other contestants. That will be a huge pressure on Quang Anh's shoulders.
