High School Graduation Exam 2025: Exam organization is careful, teachers are required not to take early summer vacation

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires schools to complete teaching and review for 12th grade students to have a solid knowledge base and strong mentality to enter the 2025 exam. Organize the study of regulations for staff, teachers and students.

High schools and Continuing Education Centers provide full information about this year's exam, new points, things to note, especially timelines, and instructions on exam registration procedures for candidates to ensure that all candidates can register for the exam.

According to Ms. Thuy Bach, candidates need to note that the new point in this year's graduation recognition is to increase the use of learning process assessment results from 30% to 50%; the remaining 50% of the score is the high school graduation exam results. Therefore, candidates must study seriously until the end of the 12th grade program.

The 2025 High School Graduation Exam will be differentiated so that schools can consider university admissions. Candidates with foreign language certificates are exempted from the foreign language exam. The Ministry of Education and Training will not convert it into a 10-point score in the recognition of high school graduation but will only reduce the number of exam subjects...

According to Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, in 2025, the whole city is expected to have about 120,000 students registering for the exam (not including about 5,000 independent candidates). Hanoi plans to mobilize 16,000 officials and teachers to participate in the exam organization, more than 600 officials to mark the exam, and more than 500 officials to inspect and check the exam.

“With a very large number of candidates taking the exam, accounting for about 1/10 of the candidates taking the exam nationwide, organizing the exam and printing the exam papers will be difficult, requiring meticulousness and attention to detail at every step, to avoid mistakes,” said Mr. Cuong.

According to Mr. Cuong, at this time, the preparation work for the exam is being urgently deployed by the capital's Department of Education and Training, from organizing review sessions to preparing facilities and human resources.

Schools should note that teachers involved in organizing exams should not go on vacation during the exams, as there will be no manpower to mobilize.

"During the exam period, schools absolutely must not arrange for staff, teachers, and employees to take early summer vacation or arrange for many people to take vacation at the same time. Units must mobilize the maximum number of qualified staff and teachers to perform exam tasks. Qualified staff and teachers who are participating in the exam but have not been mobilized and are on the reserve list must also be ready to take on tasks when necessary," the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requested.

With a large number of candidates taking the exam, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training must also review the facilities right from this point. It is expected that the unit will select secondary and high schools and Continuing Education Centers as testing sites.

Schools selected as exam sites are required to carefully check the current state of school and classroom facilities to repair gates, fences, exam rooms, offices, desks, chairs, boards, electrical systems, backup generators, etc.

Hanoi City has also established an exam steering committee with the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee as Head of the Steering Committee and the Director of the Department of Education and Training as Permanent Deputy Head.

Candidates practice for the real exam

The Ha Tinh Department of Education and Training has also organized a mock exam for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam for nearly 17,000 students. Each high school is arranged into a testing site, each testing room has 24 candidates, organized like a real exam so that students can practice, get acquainted and determine their abilities up to this point.

This year, Dien Bien province has more than 7,600 candidates taking the exam. The Department of Education and Training plans to arrange 28 exam sites and mobilize 1,540 staff and teachers to participate in organizing the exam, including 150 exam markers and 74 inspectors.

Dien Bien Province Department of Education and Training informed that from now until the exam, schools will continue to complete the program and review to improve the quality of students. In particular, schools are required to support students in difficult circumstances. During the High School Graduation Exam, localities will review the conditions for organizing the exam, ensure facilities, implement exam plans, and ensure the safety of candidates in complicated weather conditions.

The new point of this year's exam is that candidates will take two exams at the same time according to two different programs. That is, candidates will take the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program and candidates will take the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program. Therefore, immediately after candidates register for the exam, the Department of Education and Training must summarize and screen candidates according to each program to organize the exam to ensure seriousness, safety, and compliance with regulations.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong emphasized that this year's graduation exam is the first year to be organized according to the 2018 general education program, so localities and schools must absolutely not slacken in training and tutoring students; have effective methods to supplement knowledge for students so that they are confident and ready to enter the 2025 high school graduation exam with the best results.

The 2025 High School Graduation Exam is expected to attract more than 1.1 million students. The exam will take place on June 26-27.
