Workshop "Regulations on electronic invoice regime for business households and individuals according to Decree 70/2025/ND-CP"

On the morning of April 24, 2025, in Hanoi, the Workshop "Regulations on electronic invoice regime for business households and individuals under Decree 70/2025/ND-CP" organized by the Vietnam Tax Consultants Association (VTCA) in coordination with MISA Joint Stock Company attracted the participation of tax authorities, financial - accounting experts, the press and nearly 2,000 business households with the aim of providing knowledge and solutions to support the implementation of the electronic invoice regime under the provisions of Decree 70/2025/ND-CP.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Le Hong Quang - General Director of MISA emphasized that compliance with regulations on invoices and documents according to Decree 70/2025/ND-CP is an important step in the digital transformation process, promoting the private economy , building a more transparent and professional business ecosystem.

Opening the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cuc - Chairwoman of VTCA shared new updates on tax policies in 2025 for business households and individuals according to Decree 70/2025/ND-CP and amendments to a number of articles of Decree 123/2020/ND-CP on invoices and documents. Accordingly, Decree 70/2025/ND-CP takes effect from June 1, 2025, regulating the application of electronic invoices to all business households and individuals. A notable new point is that business households and individuals with annual revenue of 1 billion VND or more will have to use electronic invoices generated from cash registers connected to transfer data to tax authorities.

In addition, the Decree also encourages consumers to request invoices through loyalty and reward programs, and clearly stipulates the time for issuing invoices for exported goods and services in large quantities. Business households and individuals will also be encouraged to implement the accounting regime according to Circular 88/2021/TT-BTC, in order to improve the efficiency of financial management and tax compliance. According to Ms. Cuc, in order to facilitate business households and individuals in determining revenue, expenses and tax obligations for each business sector, the application of digital technology solutions is extremely necessary.

Continuing the knowledge of tax law, Ms. Le Thi Yen - Director of Hanoi Tax Consulting Company Limited shared about professional support solutions and answered some practical situations to help business households and individuals understand and properly fulfill their tax obligations.

Ms. Yen pointed out that many business households still do not clearly understand their tax rights and obligations, continue to maintain a small business mentality, do not issue invoices and lack a specialized accounting department. They also have difficulty accessing electronic invoice software, especially in rural areas and for the elderly. The application of electronic invoices generated from cash registers according to Decree 70/2025/ND-CP is an important step, helping to improve transparency and efficiency of financial management, but business households need to prepare to cooperate with reputable partners to minimize risks and ensure legal compliance.

To support business households and individuals in complying with regulations on invoices and documents according to Decree 70/2025/ND-CP, Mr. Le Hong Quang - General Director of MISA introduced the Electronic Invoice Solution Set initiated from cash registers, integrating Sales - Invoice - Accounting management. This solution set was developed by MISA with the goal of comprehensive and effective management, easy to deploy, fully compliant with tax regulations and optimizing costs for users.

The solution allows businesses to automate the process of issuing electronic invoices, minimizing errors and saving data entry time. The software connects directly to the Tax Department, ensuring timely issuance and transmission of invoices, in compliance with legal regulations. In addition, the MISA ecosystem synchronizes data between sales and accounting software to help optimize financial management processes, automatically record documents and report taxes. The highlight of the solution set is that it was developed by MISA to ensure the criteria of ease of use, full features, meeting tax law regulations at an optimal cost.

“Applying technological solutions to issue electronic invoices will help households and individuals to be proactive in transactions with customers, expand business opportunities and increase prestige and professionalism,” Mr. Quang affirmed.

The speakers discussed and analyzed the application of Decree 70/2025/ND-CP on electronic invoices for business households and individuals in some specific cases, invoice processing and revenue recognition, how to deploy invoices from cash registers and technology support for small business households.
