From 7:30 a.m. on June 19, candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam for public schools in Ho Chi Minh City began checking their exam scores at https://ts10.hcm.edu.vn.
This year's exam, out of a total of more than 98,000 candidates, 49 exams achieved perfect scores, 31 exams achieved 9.75 points, 132 exams achieved 9 points, and 123 exams achieved 9.25 points. The number of candidates achieving scores above 8 was about 2,000.
Although the Math exam received mixed opinions from candidates, who said the exam was too difficult, the exam results showed that the number of candidates who scored 5 was the highest with 7,167 exams. In Math, 82 exams received a score of 0; 123 exams received a score of 0.25; 142 exams received a score of 0.5 and 188 exams received a score of 0.75.
Meanwhile, according to the examiners of the Literature exam, this year's score distribution for this subject remains stable as in previous years. The score distribution will range from 6 to 7.5 points. Open-ended answers also create many opportunities for candidates to express their opinions through writing.
For English, this year there were quite a lot of 9 and 10 scores, while below average scores were less than previous years. This year's English test did not give students easy marks.
In the upcoming school year, the total enrollment target for grade 10 public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City is 77,355 students. Thus, this year's grade 10 entrance exam will have 78.3% of candidates enrolling in public schools.
According to GD&DT, from June 21 to 24, candidates can submit applications for review of their exam results. No later than 4:00 p.m. on June 24, the admission scores for specialized and integrated grade 10 and direct admission results will be announced. On June 30, the review will be completed and the review results will be announced.
From June 25 to 4:00 p.m. on June 29, candidates admitted to grade 10 of specialized high schools, integrated high schools, and direct admission must submit their admission applications to the school they are admitted to. Candidates who do not submit their admission applications will have their names removed from the list of admitted candidates.
On July 10, the admission scores for public grade 10 and the list of candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year were announced.
