The new recruit oath ceremony was not only a milestone of maturity in the military but also the most sacred moment I have ever experienced—a place where pride, emotion, and nostalgia blended together into a surging wave of feelings.

I remember my first day in the army, a young man fresh out of school, bewildered by regulations, lost in the strict discipline. There were nights lying in my bunk bed, listening to the wind blowing through the iron bars, and I secretly missed my mother's cooking, my father's voice, my friends' smiles... But it was from those memories that I learned to mature, slowly but surely, day by day.

Three months of training isn't long, but it was enough for me to push my limits. From exhausting runs under the scorching sun to challenging shooting and grenade-throwing exercises, every day was an effort, every hour a determination. When I completed the training with excellent results in all areas – political discipline, drills, shooting, grenade throwing, explosives handling – I was moved not because I was better than anyone else, but because I had conquered myself.

On that journey, I was not alone. Officers from the squad to the company were always dedicated to guiding and correcting my every movement with a serious yet caring gaze. My comrades, though only known for three months, were like brothers, sharing joys and sorrows, overcoming nights of mild fever or exhaustion after each training session. And the encouragement from my family became a precious source of motivation, warming me during moments of weakness.

Today's oath-taking ceremony not only marks the end of the training phase but also opens a new chapter. A chapter of ideals, responsibility, and pride in the name of being a soldier of Uncle Ho's army. Today's achievements are the culmination of the efforts, affection, and encouragement of my family, officers, and comrades—those who have walked with me through the first stage of my military life.

When the oath recited during the flag-raising ceremony, I felt invigorated. Although difficulties and challenges still lie ahead, I believe that with the resilience I have honed over time, I will steadfastly overcome them and continue my arduous yet glorious military journey.
