Lacking a B license, Coach Mai Duc Chung lost his "seat"

(NLĐ) - Coach Mai Duc Chung suddenly had to give up the head coach position of the national U22 team because he did not have a B coaching license issued by AFC according to standards.

Coach Mai Duc Chung must study to get a B Coaching license issued by the Asian Football Confederation.

This information was just revealed by a VFF official on May 18 after a meeting between Mr. Mai Duc Chung and the National Team and Youth Training Department. Mr. Chung said that this is within AFC regulations so VFF and he are forced to comply. Immediately, VFF appointed coach Lu Dinh Tuan to replace Mr. Chung.

Mr. Tuan replaced coach Mai Duc Chung to lead the U22 team to participate in the U22 Asian qualifiers from June 22 to July 9 in Myanmar. U22 Vietnam is in the same group with Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Taiwan - China.

Mr. Chung said he will attend the AFC B Coaching License course while giving up his position to Coach Lu Dinh Tuan. On May 22, VFF will announce the national team coach, national U22 coach and coaching staff.
