Ha Tinh is entering a new heatwave.
According to the Ha Tinh Meteorological and Hydrological Station: Due to the influence of a developing and expanding hot low-pressure area in the West, combined with the Foehn effect, today (May 16th), the western mountainous region is likely to experience localized heatwaves.
The highest temperatures in the coastal plains are 33-34 degrees Celsius, and in the mountainous areas 35-36 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity ranges from 45-60%.
From May 18th to 23rd, Ha Tinh province experienced hot and intensely hot weather with maximum temperatures of 36-38 degrees Celsius, and in some places exceeding 39 degrees Celsius.
Due to the combined effects of hot weather, low humidity, and southwest winds causing a Foehn effect, there is a risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased electricity demand, and a risk of forest fires.
In addition, hot weather can cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heatstroke in people who are exposed to high temperatures for extended periods.
