Heavy rain continues until July 23, risk of flooding and landslides
It is forecasted that on July 21-22, the Northeast, the Northern Delta, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will experience prolonged heavy rain with total rainfall ranging from 120 - 250mm, with some places exceeding 400mm. The remaining areas of the North and Ha Tinh will also experience heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and strong thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging from 70 - 150mm, with some places exceeding 200mm.
From the night of July 22 to July 23, heavy rain continued in the Northeast, the Northern Delta, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An , with rainfall ranging from 60 - 100mm, locally exceeding 200mm. Other provinces in the North and Ha Tinh had moderate to heavy rain, with rainfall ranging from 30 - 60mm, in some places over 100mm.
From July 21 to 23, the Northeast, the Northern Delta, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have total rainfall of 200 - 350mm, some places may record rainfall exceeding 600mm. The remaining areas in the North and Ha Tinh will have total rainfall of 100 - 200mm, locally over 300mm.
Faced with complex weather developments, people need to closely monitor forecasts and take precautions against the risk of flooding in urban areas, landslides in mountainous areas and flash floods in low-lying areas.
