According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the day and night of June 17, many areas across the country will have thunderstorms, some places will have heavy rain, in thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, beware of flash floods and landslides.
Northern region has some places with rain over 60mm
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on the day and night of June 17, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, locally over 60mm (rain concentrated in the late afternoon and night).
The Central Highlands and the South have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 50mm (rain concentrated in the late afternoon and evening).
Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas. Warning level 1 of natural disaster risk due to tornadoes, lightning and hail.
On the night of June 16 and early morning of June 17, the Central Highlands and the South had some places with heavy to very heavy rain. Beware of flash floods and landslides in 3 Central Highlands provinces
From 5:10 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. on June 17, the provinces of Kon Tum, Gia Lai and Dak Lak continued to have rain with accumulated rainfall ranging from 20-30mm, in some places over 50mm.
Risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in the above provinces, especially in the districts: Dak To, Ia H' Drai, Kon Ray, Ngoc Hoi, Sa Thay, Kon Tum city (Kon Tum province); Chu Pah, Chu Prong, Chu Puh, Chu Se, Dak Doa, Duc Co, Ia Grai, Pleiku city (Gia Lai province); Buon Don, Ea Sup (Dak Lak province). Warning level of natural disaster risk due to flash floods, landslides, land subsidence due to heavy rain or level 1 flow.
Flash floods and landslides can have very negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives; cause local traffic congestion, affect the movement of vehicles; destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities.

The Hydrometeorological Agency recommends that local authorities pay attention to reviewing bottlenecks and vulnerable locations in the area to take preventive and response measures.
