These are the last three rivers in the province to end waterway traffic restrictions after a period of banning traffic due to the impact of floods after storm No. 3.

Traffic restrictions on local inland waterways end from 10:00 a.m. on September 29.

Previously, on the morning of September 25, the Hai Duong Department of Transport announced the end of waterway traffic restrictions on three local rivers including the Cuu Yen, Tu Ky and Cau Xe rivers.

Thus, by September 29, all local and central inland waterways in Hai Duong province had returned to normal operation, with smooth waterway traffic.

Previously, to ensure traffic safety in the context of rising flood waters, the Hai Duong Department of Transport restricted waterway traffic on local inland waterways from 6 p.m. on September 10, banning all water transport vehicles from circulating on local inland waterways, except for those serving flood and storm prevention and ensuring national security. For inland waterways managed by the Central Government, the Inland Waterways Sub-Department of Region I also restricted inland waterway traffic in the navigational channels of many bridges in Hai Duong.

After the river water level receded, to ensure the smooth operation of waterway traffic again, the Inland Waterways Sub-Department of Region I announced the end of inland waterway traffic restrictions in the navigational bays of the bridges. The Hai Duong Department of Transport also gradually ended inland waterway traffic restrictions on local rivers.

Hai Duong has 6 locally managed inland waterways with a length of 125 km and 14 centrally managed waterways with a length of more than 296 km.
