Adoption of the EROPA 2025 Conference Programme and Strategic Direction

The Executive Council of the Eastern World Administrative Organization (EROPA) has just summarized its activities, discussed and resolved important issues related to the strategic orientation of the organization's development, expanded the membership network, approved the program of activities, and adopted the EROPA 2025 Conference Program.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Director of the Academy of Public Administration and Management, Chairman of the EROPA Executive Council chaired the 70th meeting of the EROPA Executive Council.

On October 3, the Academy of Public Administration and Management, under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics , informed that the Executive Council of the Eastern Regional Public Administration Organization (EROPA) held its 70th meeting on October 1 in Tacloban (Philippines). The meeting was chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Director of the Vietnam Academy of Public Administration and Management, Chairman of the Executive Council of EROPA.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Chairman of the EROPA Executive Council Nguyen Ba Chien warmly welcomed the delegates and encouraged open discussions on cooperation methods among members, aiming to make EROPA a dynamic and effective organization, playing a pioneering role in the field of public administration and making practical contributions to the reform, innovation and sustainable development process of the Asia- Pacific region.

EROPA's outstanding activities

From the 2024 Annual Conference in Indonesia to September 2025, EROPA has had many outstanding activities, affirming its position as a dynamic organization, constantly expanding its network, actively contributing to global standards and leading dialogues on reform, innovation of public administration and public governance in the region and the world . These are:

Successfully organized the 69th Governing Council, the 30th EROPA Conference and General Assembly in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with the theme “Towards a world-class administration” (October 2024);

Building regional networks and cooperation; enhancing multilateral cooperation: co-organizing and participating in key events such as the PSPA 2025 Conference (Philippines), the IAPA International Doctoral Conference (Indonesia), the ASEAN Public Service Institutions Network (PSTI) Conference in Vietnam and Brunei;

Participate in global activities: regional representative to join the UNDESA-IASIA Expert Group to complete the United Nations Standards of Excellence in Public Administration Education and Training (10/2024); Participate in the UNPAN General Assembly to present cooperation and promote initiatives; participate in the CLAD Congress (Brazil), World Government Summit (Dubai);

Participate in prestigious regional and international knowledge and innovation forums as a plenary speaker and keynote speaker.

Through the EROPA 2025 Conference Programme

The conference proceeded to elect the EROPA leadership positions for the 2026-2027 term with the result that the Chairman of the Executive Council is the Philippine Civil Service Commission, represented by Lawyer Ryan Alvin Acosta.

The conference unanimously adopted the 2025 World Eastern Administrative Conference Program with the theme: “Administration in the era of populism, multidimensional crisis and technological transformation: challenges, motivations and directions”. The event took place from October 1 to 3 in Tacloban, Philippines, with the participation of over 500 delegates from within and outside the region.

At the end of the meeting, delegates expressed their deep gratitude to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Director of the Vietnam Academy of Public Administration and Management, Chairman of the EROPA Executive Board for the 2024-2025 term, recognizing his important contributions, exemplary working spirit, dedication and high responsibility for the overall success of the organization.
