Provincial Road 341 to be opened before April 30

The project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 341 (National Highway 18C) from Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone to Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate Economic Zone, phase 2, started on January 10, 2022. To date, more than 95% of the work has been completed. The investor and the contractor consortium have overcome difficulties, accelerated the construction progress, ensuring the entire route is opened before April 30 and completed and put into use in the second quarter of this year, 6 months ahead of the project implementation time.

Provincial Road 341 has so far completed more than 95% of the work, ensuring the route is open before April 30.

The Project to Improve and Upgrade Provincial Road 341 (National Highway 18C) from Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone to Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate Economic Zone, Phase 2, was approved by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province in Decision No. 4726/QD-UBND dated November 15, 2018, approved for adjustment in Decision No. 2279/QD-UBND dated July 12, 2021 with a total planning area of 34.12 hectares. Total investment of VND 297 billion.

Leaders of Quang Ninh Economic Zone Management Board inspected the project construction progress on the afternoon of April 26.

The project investor is the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Management Board. The project has a route length of 13.83km. The starting point of the route is at Po Hen Bridge (Km88+195), Hai Son Commune center; the end point of the route connects with the end point of phase 1 at Km103+314, National Highway 18C. The roadbed is 9 meters wide; the road surface is 6 meters. This is a level III traffic project; the design speed is 60km/h. Construction progress is 660 days from the commencement date.

Taking advantage of favorable weather, the construction unit urgently constructed the section bordering Bac Son commune with Hai Son, ensuring the completion of this asphalt section on April 27-28.

As soon as the site was available, the joint venture of contractors, Thanh Duong Company Limited and Tri Duc Investment, Development and Construction Joint Stock Company, mobilized human resources and machinery to urgently dig and fill the roadbed and drainage culverts; ensuring safe construction measures and traffic safety.

This is a project to renovate and upgrade the traffic route connecting the two border economic zones of Mong Cai and Bac Phong Sinh. The completed route will facilitate the circulation of goods, creating momentum for socio-economic development of Mong Cai city, Hai Ha district in particular and Quang Ninh province in general; gradually completing the infrastructure of the border area to implement the policy of stabilizing and migrating people in the border area to combine socio-economic development with protecting national sovereignty and security. Phase 1 of the project was implemented, completed and put into operation and use by the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Management Board from 2020.

Up to now, the investor and the construction unit have completed the asphalt paving of the entire route, ensuring the completion of the project ahead of schedule. This is a project to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province. The completed project put into use has concretized the Construction Planning of Quang Ninh province to 2030, with a vision to 2050 and beyond 2050.
