Revoking the certificate of 'good manufacturing practice for cosmetics' of EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company

(DN) - The Drug Administration of Vietnam issued Decision No. 271/QD-QLD dated May 27 to revoke the certificate of "Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics" for EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company.

Accordingly, the Drug Administration revoked the "Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics" certificate No. 53/GCN-QLD issued on January 21, 2025, issued together with Decision No. 53/QD-QLD dated January 21, 2025 of the Director of the Drug Administration on granting a certificate of compliance with the principles and standards of "Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics" of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (CGMP-ASEAN) to EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (Trang Bom district). The reason for the revocation given by the Drug Administration was that this enterprise did not comply with the principles and standards of "Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics" of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (CGMP-ASEAN).

The Drug Administration also requested the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health to review and inspect the conditions for cosmetics production to revoke the certificate of eligibility for cosmetics production No. 24/CNĐĐKSXMP-ĐN issued on January 10, 2025 for EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company according to the provisions of Decree No. 93/2016/ND-CP dated July 1, 2016 of the Government regulating the conditions for cosmetics production.

At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health will implement measures to manage and monitor cosmetic products manufactured before the date the facility's certificate of eligibility for cosmetic production was revoked; handle violations according to regulations. Transfer the records of violations of VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited (District 5, Ho Chi Minh City) and EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company to the police agency for investigation and handling of violations according to their authority.
