Gold price this afternoon (August 4): Gold bars decreased by 200,000 VND/tael in selling price; gold ring price decreased and remained stable, depending on the brand.

According to records early this afternoon (August 4), the brands DOJI , SJC, PNJ, Bao Tin Minh Chau simultaneously listed the price of gold bars at 121.7 - 123.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 200 thousand VND/tael for buying and a decrease of 200 thousand VND/tael for selling.

Phu Quy SJC traded gold bars at 120.5 - 123.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 200 thousand VND/tael in selling and kept the buying price unchanged.

In the gold ring segment, some brands kept the transaction price unchanged, others reduced it by 200,000 VND/tael in both directions.

Specifically, SJC traded gold rings at 116.3 - 118.8 million VND/tael, down 200,000 VND/tael in both directions.

Phu Quy brand gold rings also decreased by 200,000 VND/tael in both directions, currently listed at 116 - 119 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

DOJI traded gold rings at 117 - 119.5 million VND/tael, unchanged from yesterday.

Bao Tin Minh Chau gold rings are stable at 117.2 - 120.2 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

PNJ does not change the price of gold rings at the threshold of 117 - 119.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

In the international market, gold prices today plummeted as soon as trading opened. Around early this afternoon, Vietnam time, the world gold price was trading at 3,360 USD/ounce, generally down 4 USD/ounce in the past 24 hours.

Currently, converted according to the exchange rate at Vietcombank (excluding taxes and fees), world gold is priced at 106.8 million VND/tael, 16.5 million VND/tael lower than the price of SJC gold bars.

The above development is contrary to the forecast of experts on the gold price trend this week of Kitco, when out of a total of 17 analysts on Wall Street participating in the survey, 94% of the opinions said that the gold price will continue to increase, no one said that the gold price will decrease and only the remaining 6% predicted that the gold price will go sideways.
