Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province requested localities to propagate and disseminate to organizations and individuals producing and trading agricultural products in the area about the meaning, benefits and requirements for registering MSVT and CSĐG of fruits for export. At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection to guide organizations and individuals to clearly understand the process, documents and procedures for registering MSVT and CSĐG according to regulations; ensure compliance with international standards on quality, traceability, food safety and regulations of importing countries.

Encourage people and businesses to register to expand the scale and number of growing areas for potential fruits and strengths of the province such as durian, dragon fruit, passion fruit...

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, up to now, the area of fruit trees for export in the province that have been granted MSVT is still low, especially durian (only more than 50% of the business area has been granted MSVT), causing the potential for fruit export to not be fully exploited, reducing the export value of the province.

Therefore, the Department recommends that the People's Committees of communes and wards continue to direct specialized departments to review and count the area of fruit trees eligible for MSVT issuance; mobilize organizations, individuals, cooperatives and businesses in the area to participate in registration, in order to expand the area of growing areas eligible for official export.

On the other hand, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection focuses on reviewing, synthesizing, and updating MSVT and CSĐG according to the new provincial administrative boundaries and 2-level local authorities to serve monitoring and management work.

Previously, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection said that in recent times, Vietnam's fruit exports to China have achieved many positive results, increasing the value for farmers. However, the number of approved MSVT and CSĐG for exported fruits is still small compared to the actual area and output, especially durian, causing the export potential to not be fully exploited. In addition, the merger of provinces in recent times has led to changes in administrative boundaries and personnel. Therefore, localities need to immediately organize the review and update of MSVT and CSĐG to serve management work.

It is known that in Lam Dong, up to now, the whole province has issued 954 MSVT for crops such as durian, dragon fruit, grapefruit, coconut, mango, passion fruit for export with a total area of over 45,000 hectares and 339 CSĐG for agricultural products such as durian, dragon fruit, mango, coconut... with a total factory area of 532,259 m2. In addition, there are 13 dossiers requesting to issue MSVT with a scale of 261.95 hectares and 21 dossiers requesting to issue CSĐG codes with a total factory area of 57,290 m2. The vegetable seed production area for export to the EU market has 12 MSVT with an output of over 7,000 kg of chili and tomato seeds/crop. In addition, there are 5 MSVT seedlings and seedlings of Da Lat Hasfarm Company Limited registered for export with a scale of nearly 300,000 seedlings and seedlings/crop.
