On November 30, the "Early back to school after the flood" program launched by the Community Disaster Prevention Fund deployed the first phase of emergency relief in Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces.
Accordingly, the program awarded more than 1,000 reams of notebooks to all primary school students in Quy Nhon Dong and Quy Nhon Tay wards ( Gia Lai province); 2,584 reams of notebooks to students of six primary schools in Dong Hoa ward ( Dak Lak province).
These gifts help children prepare enough learning materials and return to school soon after the natural disaster . These are areas that are heavily flooded, with some areas having water levels nearly 2 meters high, sweeping away the belongings and books of many students' families.
Notably, more than 2,500 reams of notebooks were given away by primary schools in Nong Son commune ( Da Nang ) after receiving them from the Fund, demonstrating the spirit of sharing with students in provinces that suffered more severe damage .

Along with that, the program also awarded 200 million VND to support 200 households that suffered heavy damage in An Tho village (Tuy An Bac commune, Dak Lak province) and Hoa Tri commune (Khanh Hoa province). In these two localities, the flood exceeded the historical level of 2009 by 1.1m, rising so quickly that most of the property, rice and livestock were swept away or submerged in water.
