Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long presented the Decision to promote from Senior Lieutenant to Major to comrade Nguyen Dang Khai.

On the afternoon of April 18, the delegation of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Ministry of Public Security led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, visited and presented the Decision on promotion to a higher rank to comrade Nguyen Dang Khai at his private home in Cao Xa village, Tran Cao town (Phu Cu), an officer of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police who heroically sacrificed while pursuing a group of drug criminals in Quang Ninh province.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, presented the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on the promotion of professional officers to the family representative of comrade Nguyen Dang Khai. According to Decision No. 2786/QD-BCA-X01 dated April 18, 2025 of the Minister of Public Security, the promotion from Senior Lieutenant to Major (promotion of rank beyond grade) will be effective from April 17, 2025 for comrade Nguyen Dang Khai.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, presented the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on the promotion to a higher rank to the representative of the family of martyr Major Nguyen Dang Khai.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long shared the great loss with the family and relatives of martyr Major Nguyen Dang Khai, encouraged his relatives to soon overcome the pain and stabilize their lives; presented the People's Public Security Comradeship Fund and the Central Crime Prevention Fund to support Major Nguyen Dang Khai's family.

On this occasion, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, sent flowers to pay tribute to martyr Major Nguyen Dang Khai.

On the same afternoon, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province and the delegation of the National Assembly of Quang Ninh province led by   Comrade Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province as head of the delegation;   The delegation of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; the delegation of Hung Yen Provincial Police led by Colonel Nguyen Thanh Truong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police paid tribute to martyr Major Nguyen Dang Khai.

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Truong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department, presented gifts from officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police Department to support the family of martyr Major Nguyen Dang Khai.

In recognition of the heroic sacrifice of comrade Nguyen Dang Khai, the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union awarded the Brave Youth Badge to martyr of the People's Public Security Major Nguyen Dang Khai.

Previously, while pursuing drug trafficking and transportation ring members in Quang Ninh province on the evening of April 17, 2025, comrade Nguyen Dang Khai was shot and died.
