As an alumnus, the Prime Minister congratulates all students who have been, are and will be members of this school, with their passion and efforts, contributing to the development of the construction industry and of Romania.
"We are always proud to be students of the Bucharest University of Civil Engineering and together we will contribute to the growing friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Romania. To me, the Bucharest University of Civil Engineering is a part of my life" - said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister affirmed that no matter what position he holds, he will always wholeheartedly join hands to foster the relationship between the two countries, towards the goal of peace, prosperity and sustainable development.
"As the Romanian proverb says "Orice sa fie nou, dar prierenul vechi", everything may pass but friendship always remains" - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emotionally said.
The Bucharest University of Civil Engineering has its predecessors as the "School of Land Surveying" founded in 1818 and the "School of Bridges, Roads and Mines" founded in 1867; it was merged into the Bucharest Institute of Civil Engineering in 1948; then changed to its current name in 1994.

The school currently has more than 8,600 students with 7 faculties, 22 departments and 18 research centers.
