Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic arrives in Hanoi, starting official visit to Vietnam

The official visit to Vietnam by Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev contributed to promoting the Vietnam-Kyrgyzstan friendship, deepening the relationship between the two countries.

On the evening of March 5, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasimalyev arrived in Hanoi, beginning an official visit to Vietnam from March 6-7, at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh .

This is the first visit of the head of the Kyrgyz government to Vietnam since the two countries established diplomatic relations. The visit contributes to promoting the Vietnam-Kyrgyzstan friendship, deepening the relationship between the two countries in all fields.

At Noi Bai International Airport, the delegation was welcomed by: Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Vietnamese Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Pham Thai Nhu Mai.

Accompanying Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev on his official visit to Vietnam were: Chief of the Office for Foreign Policy, Office of the President Muratbek Azymbakiev; Minister of Education and Science Dokdurkul Kendirbaeva; Minister of Economy and Trade Bakyt Sydykov; Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev; Minister of Justice Ayaz Baetov; Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Talantbek Imanov; Acting Director of the National Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniiar Bostonov; Vice President of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Bektur Aliev; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Meder Abakirov.

Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasimalyev was born on December 1, 1960 in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the Leningrad Financial and Economic Academy. From 1984 to 1988, Mr. Kasimalyev was a researcher at the Institute of Economic Research and Methodology of Financial-Economic Planning, State Planning Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

He was Head of the Finance Department, Road Construction Battalion, from 1988 to 1990; Deputy Head of the Tax Inspectorate of Oktyabrsky District, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from 1990 to 1994 and worked in various positions at the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan from 1994 to 2002.

From 2003 to 2011, he held the positions of Vice Chairman of the State Budget Revenue Committee, Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan; Vice Chairman of the State Committee on Taxes and Fees of Kyrgyzstan; Vice Chairman, then Chairman of the General Department of Taxation, under the Government of Kyrgyzstan.

During 2011-2022, Mr. Kasimalyev held the positions of Deputy Minister of Economic Management; Deputy Minister of Economy; Minister of Finance; Director, then Chairman of the Fund “Social Partnership for Regional Development”; Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.

From June 2022 to 2024, he was First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Kyrgyzstan.

From December 2024 to present, he is Prime Minister and Chief of Office of the President of Kyrgyzstan./.
