Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online meeting at the Forward Command Headquarters located in Military Region 4 with the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh , and Quang Tri.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested ministries, branches and localities to carefully review their response plans to storm Kajiki, prioritizing the safety of people's lives. The head of the Government requested ministries, branches and localities to take immediate proactive action, thoroughly review and be ready to activate response plans, thoroughly implement the spirit of "four on-site" (on-site forces; means; on-site supplies; on-site logistics), prepare evacuation plans, and ensure absolute safety for people. Hydrometeorological agencies must continuously update and provide accurate and timely forecasts every hour.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the storm still maintains winds of 166 km/h, level 14, gusts of 17 and is moving west-northwest at a speed of 20 km/h. By 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, the storm maintained its intensity, direction and speed while in the coastal waters of Thanh Hoa - northern Quang Tri, then moved inland in the area between Thanh Hoa - Nghe An .

By 4am tomorrow, when it reaches Central Laos, Kajiki will maintain its storm intensity of level 8, gusting to level 10, then gradually weaken into a tropical depression and low pressure area. The Japan Meteorological Agency said the storm is currently at 144 km/h, and will increase to 162 km/h in the coming hours when it approaches land. The Hong Kong station said the storm is currently at 155 km/h and will maintain this intensity when it enters Thanh Hoa - Nghe An.
