On the afternoon of June 25, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh began an official visit to China.

Welcoming the Prime Minister at Beijing airport, on the Chinese side were: Leader of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Nong Dung, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hung Ba, Director of the Protocol Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

On the Vietnamese side, there were: Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai, Embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in China.

In his first activity after arriving in Beijing, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh spent time meeting with officials of representative agencies and overseas Vietnamese in China.

The official welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, chaired by Chinese Premier Li Qiang, took place at the People's Hall on the morning of June 26.

Afterwards, the two Prime Ministers held talks and witnessed the signing of cooperation documents between a number of ministries, branches and localities of the two sides.

This is the first face-to-face meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

During this visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to meet with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping; Chairman of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji...

The Vietnamese community in China waved flags and flowers to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The Prime Minister will spend 1.5 days in Tianjin to attend activities within the framework of the 14th WEF Pioneers Annual Meeting (WEF Tianjin).

Before attending the official session of the WEF Tianjin conference, the Prime Minister will attend and speak at the Vietnam - WEF national strategic dialogue, witness the signing of the Vietnam - WEF cooperation agreement for the 2023 - 2026 period, and receive WEF Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab.

After that, the head of the Vietnamese Government will attend and speak at the plenary session “Coping with Headwinds: Restarting Growth in a Fragile Context”, meet with leaders of several countries and attend the opening session of the WEF Tianjin conference.

On the last working day before concluding his working trip to China, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will meet with friendly dignitaries, attend the Vietnam-China business forum, receive a number of businesses, visit the Hung An new area and meet with leaders of Hebei province.

This is Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's first official visit to China, taking place in the context of 2023 marking the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

This visit follows the successful and historic visit of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China in late October 2022. This demonstrates that the relationship between the two Parties and two countries is entering a new stage of development with many opportunities and advantages.
