Previously, in Algeria, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife visited Ho Chi Minh Avenue in the capital Algiers and inaugurated a memorial stele about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.

Algeria has two places bearing the name of President Ho Chi Minh: Ho Chi Minh Avenue in the capital Algiers and Ho Chi Minh Road in the center of Oran city.

Of which, Ho Chi Minh Avenue is 3 km long, located on the East-West axis of the capital Algiers. This is one of the main routes, attracting a large number of passersby.

The Prime Minister respectfully thanked the State, Government and people of Algeria, and the people of the capital Algiers for their good feelings for the country and people of Vietnam and for their warm, friendly and respectful welcome.

In the glorious past, the two sides have always stood side by side, united, united, supported and helped each other to regain and protect independence and freedom.

In the present and future, the two sides continue to unite, unite, help and support each other for an increasingly bright future, helping the two countries develop into strong, wealthy, civilized and prosperous countries.

Every year, Ho Chi Minh Avenue in the capital city of Algiers is the venue for celebrations and events to strengthen the friendship between the people of Vietnam and Algeria. The Avenue is also where Vietnamese delegations visit when they come to Algeria, contributing to promoting comprehensive cooperation in many fields such as politics, economics, culture and education.

Visiting the Algerian Vovinam Federation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked Algerian friends and 31,000 Vovinam athletes in Algeria, not only for their noble sportsmanship and community health but also for their special affection for the country, people of Vietnam and Vovinam.

The Prime Minister wished the Vietnam - Algeria friendship to be forever green and sustainable, and the spirit of Vovinam and noble sportsmanship to last forever.
