The sacrifice of the soldiers is a noble symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism; a source of encouragement and motivation for comrades and compatriots to move forward to achieve final victory in the Spring of 1975, leading the country to unity, peace and independence.

The Prime Minister and the delegation were moved to hear the stories of the fierce 81-day battle, with thousands of liberation soldiers across the country and the people of Quang Tri who fought bravely, sacrificed, and remained forever on this land. The blood of the heroes and martyrs merged into the soil and the Thach Han River so that the country could have an independent day and the people could be free and happy.

* At the National Martyrs' Cemetery on Route 9 in Dong Ha city - the eternal resting place of more than 10,800 heroic martyrs, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation expressed their boundless gratitude and deep appreciation for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who devoted their youth, bravely fought, sacrificed in combat, served in combat on the Route 9 front and in Laos throughout the resistance war against the US, saving the country and gaining national independence as well as sacrificing in the process of building and defending the Fatherland.

The Prime Minister requested relevant ministries, sectors, units and local authorities to take care of the cemetery and graves; continue searching for and collecting martyrs' remains; create the best conditions for families of martyrs resting here and officials and people nationwide to visit the heroic martyrs; make the cemetery truly a red address for educating revolutionary traditions.

* Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery in Vinh Truong Commune, Gio Linh District - the resting place of more than ten thousand martyrs nationwide, who sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against the US to save the country, most of whom were martyrs of Group 559 - Truong Son Troops, children of the northern provinces and cities.

Offering incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the martyrs, the Prime Minister expressed the gratitude and honor of the entire Party, army and people to the beloved sons and daughters across the country who spared no effort in their blood and bones for the cause of national liberation and unification; believing that this place will forever be a pilgrimage site for people across the country and international friends following the noble moral tradition of the Vietnamese people "when drinking water, remember its source".

* At the Hue City Martyrs' Cemetery, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs, the outstanding sons of the heroic homeland of Thua Thien Hue, who did not spare their blood and bones, bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

Offering incense to the heroic martyrs, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hoped that in the coming time, departments, branches and sectors in the province will continue to collect and take care of the martyrs' graves, contributing to making the martyrs' relatives feel more secure.

* Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh offered incense and visited the Cultural Park and Memorial Site of Comrade To Huu in Quang Tho Commune, Quang Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province.
Writing in the golden book of souvenirs, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh wrote: Following the example of comrade To Huu, a staunch communist and talented culturalist, we vow to live, fight, study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style for the cause of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
The Prime Minister requested the local Party Committee, authorities and the family of Comrade To Huu to preserve, manage and promote the value of the Park and Memorial Area; open the doors to welcome visitors, both so that people can be close to Comrade To Huu, enjoy this cultural and historical space, and contribute to educating traditions so that the Park and Memorial Area become more cozy and meaningful.
