On May 5, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a letter of commendation to the traffic police force of the Ministry of Public Security .
In the letter, the Prime Minister said that implementing the leadership of the Party, the State and the direction of the Prime Minister on ensuring traffic order and safety to serve the travel needs of people during the recent April 30 and May 1 holidays, despite the high density of vehicles and the extremely hot weather across most of the country, the traffic police force was still on duty at 100%, coordinating with other police forces and functional forces in the political system to closely follow and be on duty on the roads, excellently performing the task of ensuring traffic order and safety, preventing and fighting crimes and supporting the people.
Thereby, it has contributed to reducing traffic accidents on all 3 criteria compared to the April 30 and May 1 holidays in 2023 (35 fewer cases (9.16%), 66 fewer deaths (32.35%), 4 fewer injuries (1.38%)); many localities did not have fatal traffic accidents during the holidays; did not let serious traffic congestion last for a long time; promptly fought, prevented, and arrested many criminals and law violators on traffic routes; promptly supported many people on their way home for the holidays, having problems while participating in traffic with many creative and effective measures, which were recognized and highly appreciated by the people.

The above achievements are due to the traffic police force's innovation in thinking and awareness, seriously implementing the direction of the Party, State, Prime Minister and Ministry of Public Security leaders; promoting its core role, closely coordinating with other forces in the police force and functional sectors; making efforts, trying hard, working hard in the hot sun, constantly protecting peace on the roads in the spirit of "staying awake so people can sleep, standing guard so people can have fun."
“In particular, you have made many innovations and creativity in patrolling and controlling, especially in organizing inter-line patrolling and controlling, promoting the application of science and technology to maximize efficiency and minimize inconvenience to traffic participants,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, highly appreciated, commended and praised the results and achievements of the traffic police force and other reinforcement, coordination and support forces in ensuring traffic order and safety during the recent April 30 and May 1 holidays.
The Prime Minister requested that we continue to promote the achievements we have made, make more efforts, try harder, and be more responsible, continue to do a good job of ensuring traffic order and safety, build a good image of the traffic police force, and be worthy of being a support for people to truly feel safe when participating in traffic on the roads, contributing to ensuring social order and safety.
