At LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. (Trang Due Industrial Park), the voluntary blood donation movement has been maintained regularly since the company's establishment (over the past 10 years). According to Mr. Dang Huy Hung, the company's External Relations Director, the company usually organizes two voluntary blood donation campaigns each year. To encourage employees to register to donate blood, the company encourages blood donors by providing full salary on the day of blood donation and creating conditions for rest and health recovery. The number of officers, employees and workers registering to participate has increased gradually over the years.

Many enterprises in the west of the city such as Tinh Loi Garment Co., Ltd., Brother Vietnam Co., Ltd., Laurelton Diamonds Vietnam Co., Ltd., Toyodenso Vietnam Co., Ltd., etc. actively participate in the voluntary blood donation movement. Mr. Luu Quang Vu, Chairman of the Trade Union of Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company, informed that in early October 2025, the enterprise organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Day, attracting nearly 500 officers, employees, and workers to register to participate. This is the second time the enterprise has organized this activity. Learning from the first organization, the notification and urging of workers to register to donate blood was carried out earlier, with a specific and detailed plan. On the other hand, the company's Trade Union updated the number of people registering to donate blood daily, creating a competitive atmosphere among workers in teams and departments. Thanks to that, the rate of repeat blood donors reached more than 80%. This year's company blood donation day collected 424 units of blood.

"In the coming time, the unit will continue to maintain the voluntary blood donation movement to become an annual social security activity, attracting a large number of workers to respond," Mr. Vu shared.

Together with the mass organizations, state agencies, the business sector has been contributing to spreading the voluntary blood donation movement in the city. According to statistics from the Office of the City's Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee, in the past 9 months, businesses in the city attracted nearly 5,000 participants, contributing about 4,300 qualified blood units. Of which, 12 businesses in the west organized a voluntary blood donation festival, contributing nearly 2,400 blood units. In the east of the city, 2 businesses successfully organized a blood donation festival, adding more than 1,900 blood units.

Always keeping in mind that "every drop of blood given, a life remains", Ms. Bui Thi Loan (33 years old), Lhihit Lab Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Japanese Industrial Park - Hai Phong) always takes advantage of the time to ensure health conditions to donate blood. "Since the first time participating in blood donation launched by the Company's Union (in 2021), every year, I try to donate blood at least once. I often take advantage of the weekend to register to donate blood. Up to now, I have donated blood 8 times", Ms. Loan said.

Promoting the blood donation movement in enterprises helps solve the "difficult problem" that exists in many localities such as: difficulty in mobilizing people to donate blood because people of working age often work and register to donate blood at agencies and units, many middle-aged and elderly people are not healthy enough to donate blood.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion (Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital) said: In recent times, mobilizing employees in enterprises to participate in blood donation has contributed practically and promptly to supplementing blood reserves during the summer and Tet holidays... Therefore, from the beginning of this year, the center has a plan to register, allocate, and coordinate the organization of Blood Donation Festivals at enterprises. It is expected that in the fourth quarter of this year, the center will organize blood reception at Hai Phong Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, Hai Phong Telecommunications, Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company, DAP Vinachem Joint Stock Company...

With the goal of not leaving any area empty and not missing blood sources, in the coming time, the City's Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee will increase activities to mobilize workers to participate. Mr. Bui Manh Phuc, Chairman of the City Red Cross Society, Deputy Head of the City's Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee informed: As a standing agency, the City Red Cross Society will strengthen connections and coordinate with the Economic Zone Management Board, the Industrial Park Trade Union Board with representatives of some FDI enterprises, flexibly organize propaganda activities to raise awareness of cadres, employees and workers about the blood donation movement, and attract more foreign workers to participate.

The Association enlisted the support and assistance of units to survey and establish more fixed blood donation points in industrial zones, forming the habit of regular blood donation among workers and laborers. Thereby, contributing to maintaining an abundant blood reserve, ensuring the treatment of patients and gradually increasing the rate of people participating in blood donation in the city.
