The conference was held to comprehensively evaluate the production and promotion of "Red Rain" —one of the key artistic works directed by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.
Attending and directing the Conference were General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Political Bureau, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army; and General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense.
Representing the Army Film Studio and the production team, Lieutenant Colonel, Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen – Deputy Director of the People's Army Film Studio and director of the film, expressed her honor at being entrusted with this special political task of "Red Rain ." For her, this is an honor but also a considerable pressure, especially given her limited experience in making war films.

However, director Dang Thai Huyen and her team successfully completed their mission. The female director shared: "Filming for ' Red Rain' wrapped up after 81 days of the entire crew enduring the cold rain with extremely fierce and arduous war scenes. The historical number 81, 81 days and nights of complete dedication with emotions, ideals, and gratitude , will forever be a memory and a milestone in our profession that we will never forget."
According to reports, "Red Rain" achieved the third highest-grossing status in Southeast Asia and is among the top 65 highest-grossing films globally in 2025. The director affirmed that this success is the culmination of teamwork, camaraderie, and close guidance from leadership at all levels.
Director Dang Thai Huyen expressed: "Today's concluding conference is not only for the 'Red Rain' film crew, but for us, it also signifies the recognition from leaders at all levels of the efforts of the Military Film Studio in integrating with the flow of Vietnamese cinema on the journey of preserving historical memories and building spiritual values for society."

The crew and cast received commendations from the Ministry of Defense.
The Army Film Studio and its team are committed to listening to and seriously learning from feedback, considering "Red Rain" as a starting point to continue promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity in the new phase.
The conference not only provided a comprehensive assessment of the journey in creating a key artistic work of the Army, but also paid a profound tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives, while simultaneously setting the direction for the future of revolutionary Vietnamese cinema.

Based on the results achieved, the Conference aimed to propose directions, solutions, and tasks for the next steps in organizing the creation, production, and dissemination of cultural and artistic works on the themes of the armed forces, revolutionary war, and the soldiers of "Uncle Ho's army" in the coming period.
The objective is to continue affirming the special role of culture in building a politically, ideologically, organizationally, and morally strong Vietnam People's Army, while enriching the spiritual life of soldiers and the people, and consolidating the people's support – the solid foundation of national defense.
