During his attendance at the 15th Annual Pioneers Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) held in Dalian City, Liaoning Province; working in China from June 24 to 27, on the evening of June 26 (local time), in Beijing, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and talked with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and members of the Vietnamese community in China.

Reporting to the Prime Minister, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai said that the exchange activities of the two delegations were very active; all leaders, officers and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy focused on promoting exchanges between ministries and branches of the two countries, enhancing political trust, promoting economic, trade and investment cooperation, supporting connection and cooperation between localities of the two countries, contributing to concretizing the agreements between high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries. The Embassy always strives to strengthen relations with major Chinese media and press agencies, thanks to which the work of promoting the relationship between the two countries has achieved much more positive results. Speaking, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion at visiting and talking with the staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community; highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of the Vietnamese Embassy and Ambassador Pham Sao Mai personally in promoting the development of relations between the two countries.

According to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, China is a large country with the second largest population in the world, the second largest economic potential in the world, one of the pioneers in the field of science and technology, innovation, and has achieved many great achievements in science in recent times. China has responded promptly with policies, made strong decisions, and organized and implemented them resolutely. China is reaching out to the world, playing a very clear international leadership role. Vietnam highly appreciates China's achievements in the region and the world.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that during this working visit, when meeting with senior Chinese leaders, the atmosphere was very cordial, "handshakes and greetings", no longer distance, less diplomacy, more trust, more sincerity. The Prime Minister stated that exchanges between ministries, branches and sectors were strengthened, achieving comprehensive results in politics, diplomacy, national defense and security, economy, science and technology...

Referring to the upcoming orientation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested that the high-level agreement of the two sides' leaders with 287 tasks be concretized in the spirit of commitment to be carried out, and results to be achieved, "weighed - measured - counted". The Prime Minister requested that ministries, branches and localities review and evaluate cooperation with China every month in the spirit of "not saying no, not saying difficult, not saying yes but not doing", so that "there is something to talk about at the next meeting". There is still a lot of work ahead, so it must be done with focus, key points, easy to do first, convenient to do first, from low to high, from small to large, doing each task and finishing it.

In the coming time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requires that we must be clear about our thinking, and once we have made arrangements, we must produce results, focusing on the three railway projects to prioritize, and learn from experience while doing it, without being hasty. The issue is to have the right mindset, methodology, and approach. At the recently concluded WEF Dalian 2024 Conference, the international community highly appreciated Vietnam. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also emphasized that in doing diplomatic work, it is necessary to pay attention to both fighting and persuading persistently and effectively. Regarding the relationship between Vietnamese localities and China, the Prime Minister stated that the border provinces have a lot of potential with the Chinese side, so localities must be very proactive and positive in opening up and cooperating with Chinese localities, and cannot wait or rely on them. For sectors and levels, they must be proactive according to their functions and powers, coordinating the Embassy with localities, the Consulate with localities in the spirit of all for the benefit of the country.
