On the morning of October 30, a leader of the People's Committee of Hai Ha commune (Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa) confirmed that the information that a resident was injured while protesting the construction of Long Son container port No. 3 (in Ha Nam village, Hai Ha commune) was not true.
As of October 30, dozens of people in Hai Ha commune still gathered to protest the construction of Long Son container port No. 3.
According to this person, on October 29, dozens of people from Hai Ha commune continued to gather at the construction area of Long Son Container Port No. 3 to protest the construction of the port. While the contractor deployed trucks to dump materials to level the ground, a woman (living in Hai Ha commune) tried to rush into the area where the materials were dumped. Workers and security forces stopped her.
"During the incident, the woman fainted because she had high blood pressure. Afterwards, the local authorities encouraged her relatives to take her to the commune health station for examination and determined that she only had high blood pressure. Therefore, the family took her to the hospital to treat her high blood pressure, not because she was injured," said the leader of the Hai Ha Commune People's Committee.
Previously, on October 29, many clips recorded scenes of people preventing the construction of Long Son Container Port No. 3. In some clips, people said that a woman had materials poured on her, causing her to be injured and hospitalized.
Regarding the people of Hai Ha commune gathering to protest the construction of Long Son container port No. 3, on the morning of October 30, dozens of people continued to gather to protest the construction of the port.
