Lao Cai City People's Council Standing Committee dialogues with children in 2024

On the morning of May 27, at the City Convention Center, a program of contact and dialogue between the Standing Committee of Lao Cai City People's Council and children in the area in 2024 took place.

The dialogue was attended by more than 200 students representing the city's children.

At the program, there were more than 10 opinions from students on 3 groups of content: policies for children, rights for children, social issues that children are interested in.

Specifically, student representatives hope that Lao Cai city leaders will pay attention and create conditions for children to have many experiential activities during the summer of 2024; invest in playground equipment in residential areas and multi-purpose houses in schools so that students have conditions to develop physically; take measures to prevent school violence and children using electronic cigarettes; protect children's safety in the online environment; provide policies and regimes to support students with difficult circumstances to go to school...

The questions and suggestions raised by the students were directly answered by leaders of the city's departments, divisions and professionals, and analyzed to help the students better understand the issues of concern.
